BCB FIXTURES 2026-27 ANNOUNCED AND DATES TO MARK

The excitement is building as the fixtures for the second British Championship Basketball season have been announced.

The season gets underway with the BCB Trophy, which begins on September 5, followed by the league on October 3. You can view all fixtures for the upcoming campaign here.

League structure and fixtures to watch out for

The 2026-27 BCB season will see 14 teams competing for the League, Trophy and Playoff title.

From October until April, the 14 teams will play each other twice, with each side playing 26 games in total. The team that finishes top will be crowned League champions and will join the seven teams below them in the Playoffs.

The Playoffs will be played in a straight one-game knockout format from the quarter-finals, all the way to the Playoff final.

In a memorable inaugural season, with three teams winning the three titles on offer, the Newcastle Knights claimed the Playoff crown by beating the league winners, Aldermore Reading Rockets.

They will square off on Tyneside on Saturday, October 24, before meeting again in Reading on January 30.

Trophy victors, City of Birmingham Rockets, will go up against the beaten finalists, Yorkshire Dragons, on the opening day of the league season (October 3), up north, before heading to the Midlands for the return fixture on January 10.
