BCB TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 14)

BCB TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 14)

In what turned out to be a gripping Week 14, there were also standout performers who electrified crowds across the country.

And here are the leading five in this week’s BCB Top Performers.

Tyrone Williams (Nottingham Hoods)

Tyrone Williams has spearheaded the Nottingham Hoods’ resurgence, as they secured their third win in a row with an 84-81 success over the stumbling Derby Trailblazers, who have lost three of their last five. Williams enjoyed a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds, as he shot 57 percent from the floor for the Hoods.

 Jordan Spencer (Milton Keynes Breakers)

The evergreen British veteran Jordan Spencer has been a threat on both ends of the floor, and his performances have helped the Milton Keynes Breakers in their excellent run of form.

Spencer filled the statsheet with 28 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Breakers’ 92-70 win over Loughborough Riders, which was their sixth win in a row before the run ended in heartbreaking fashion by the City of Birmingham Rockets.

Juan Manning (London Cavaliers)

One of the most consistent guards in the BCB, Juan Manning and the London Cavaliers shook up the top of the BCB standings on Saturday, as he poured in 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Cavs’ convincing 98-74 victory over the table-topping Newcastle Knights, handing them its second loss of the season, and lifting London to their fourth win in the last five.

Cooper Creek (Aldermore Reading Rockets)

Newcastle’s loss was the Aldermore Reading Rockets’ gain, as they went joint top after a pair of wins with their Australian forward Cooper Creek the key player. Creek shot 5-for-10 from the floor and hit three triples for 16 points and 13 rebounds in Reading’s 105-77 victory over the Hemel Storm.

Creek then followed that with 15 points on 66 percent shooting and five rebounds in their 103-82 success over the Derby Trailblazers.

Justin Hopkins (Worthing Thunder)

Justin Hopkins led Worthing Thunder to a 90-84 win over the Loughborough Riders on Sunday afternoon, as he hopes the win can boost the Thunder following an inconsistent spell. Hopkins had 26 points, five rebounds and three steals in a deserved victory.
