BCB TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 17)

There were some outstanding individual performances on display throughout the country during Week 17 of the BCB season.

In what was one of the toughest choices of the season so far, here are the top five that make up the Team of the Week.

JaRon Thames (Newcastle Knights)

Newcastle Knights returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 102-97 win over the Derby Trailblazers, with evergreen JaRon Thames in scintillating form. The American had 35 points, which included going a spotless 3-for-3 from three-point range, seven assists and three steals to keep his side’s title challenge going.

 Vilmantas Dilys (Bristol Hurricanes)

Vilmantas Dilys bagged Bristol Hurricanes’ third win of the season with a resounding 83-63 victory over the Worthing Thunder on the road. Dilys produced a monster double-double of 30 points and 11 boards, shooting 68 percent from the floor, impacting the game at both ends of the floor.

 Tyrone Williams (Nottingham Hoods)

Nottingham Hoods’ start to 2026 continues to go from strength to strength as they made it six wins in a row, beating Loughborough Riders 104-87. Tyrone Williams was once again a beast, drilling six triples and posting 32 points, eight assists, and two steals in another strong showing.

 Jordan Spencer (Milton Keynes Breakers)

It’s back-to-back Team of the Week appearances for British veteran Jordan Spencer, as he led the Milton Keynes Breakers to an impressive 102-85 road win against the strong London Cavaliers to end their own three-game winning run. Spencer shot 9-for-12 from the floor for 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in an all-round display of dominance.

Cooper Creek (Aldermore Reading Rockets)

With his father Wayne travelling from Australia to see his son Cooper Creek in action, the forward didn’t let him down, inspired by his presence, Creek enjoyed a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Aldermore Reading Rockets’ 80-60 success over the Essex Rebels, who battled all game long despite the absence of their leading scorer Miles Brown.
