There were monster performances throughout Week 20 of the BCB as the league standings took a dramatic turn – especially at the summit
As well as the top of the table, there are players eager to guide their team to the playoffs as the business end of the campaign is in its infancy. Let’s see who those performers are.
Daniel Braster (London Cavaliers)
London Cavaliers have bounced back from two straight losses and made it back-to-back victories on Saturday with a 95-69 win over the Loughborough Riders. Daniel Braster was outstanding throughout, finishing with a whopping 33 points, 18 rebounds, five assists and three steals. The American shot an impressive 68 percent from 22 field goal attempts.
Jordan Jefferson (Yorkshire Dragons)
Yorkshire Dragons’ Jordan Jefferson silenced the Reading crowd at Loddon Valley on Sunday with a stellar display that cut the top two in half. Jefferson put the Aldermore Reading Rockets to the sword with 26 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals in Yorkshire’s 76-64 win.
Bryce Johnson (Nottingham Hoods)
Nottingham Hoods left it late to beat Hemel Storm 92-90 on Saturday, with the cool, calm and collected Tyrone Williams hitting the game-winning free throws. But it was Bryce Johnson’s overall performance that stole the show. Johnson enjoyed a double-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds and four steals, and going 10-for-17 from the floor in the win.
Messiah Jones (Newcastle Knights)
Messiah Jones was huge in Newcastle Knights’ 108-90 win over the Worthing Thunder on Tyneside. Jones posted a triple-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists along with three steals and three blocks in a stat-stuffing showpiece, where the Knights outscored Worthing 43-18 in the fourth quarter to secure the win and keep them on top of the table.
JaRon Thames (Newcastle Knights)
Not to be outdone, Newcastle Knights' JaRon Thames continued his sizzling form as he continues to scorch the BCB with his offensive skillset. He bagged a double-double against the Worthing Thunder, going for a game-high 33 points, 14 rebounds and two steals.
