BCB TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 5)

BCB TEAM OF THE WEEK (WEEK 5)

After another pulsating week of BCB action, there were many incredible individual showings.

One of which was a hard-working triple-double from Loughborough Riders’ Michael Joiner in their 87-82 loss to the Essex Rebels. Joiner posted 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, but as the Riders came up short, he missed out on a spot in the Team of the Week.

In this week’s fantastic five.

Miles Brown was outstanding for the Essex Rebels in their home win over the Loughborough Riders. He filled the statsheet with 25 points, four rebounds, seven assists and eight steals for his side’s second win of the Championship season.

Newcastle Knights’ electric guard JaRon Thames continues to stake his claim as one of the most exciting players in the BCB as he went for 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists in his side’s 96-87 victory at home to the Hemel Storm.

Jordan Spencer was in devastating form for the Milton Keynes Breakers in Friday night’s dominant 81-55 road win over the Nottingham Hoods. The British guard shot 62 percent from the field, as he enjoyed a double-double of 17 points and assists, plus he bagged seven boards and two steals.

Worthing Thunder remained unbeaten after five games as they toppled London Cavaliers 93-74 on the south coast. Adrian Scarborough was a rebound shy of his fourth straight double-double, as he had 24 points and nine boards, shooting 10-for-16 from the field.

Alongside Scarborough, Yorkshire Dragons big man David Ulph is proving to be one of the BCB’s elite players. He went 7-for-9 from the floor, hit 15 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the Dragons’ convincing 104-59 success over the Bristol Flyers II.
