JARON THAMES CLAIMS MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE MONTH HONOURS FOR NOVEMBER

Newcastle Knights JaRon Thames’ sensational period of November has earned him the Molten BCB Player of the Month award.
Throughout November, Thames has wowed crowds across the BCB and, in the process, has guided his side to an unbeaten month, with five wins out of five.
He has averaged 28.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists in those five games, while shooting a majestic 51.8 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range.
Thames had 29 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists in Newcastle’s 83-67 victory at home to the London Cavaliers. He also stole the ball twice in his haul.
He followed that up with another 29-point haul in the 96-87 success over the Hemel Storm. He added seven rebounds and six assists as well.
In the Knights’ hard-fought 90-77 win away to the Loughborough Riders, Thames bagged his second double-double of the month, going for 15 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
And to finish the month off, Newcastle went on a business trip down south, where Thames showcased his ironman style of play, playing all 90 minutes in two games.
He went for 41 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in the 122-118 double-overtime win over the Essex Rebels, followed by 30 points on 11-for-18 shooting against the Worthing Thunder, pulling down six boards and dishing out four assists in an 89-82 win.
