Nottingham Hoods announce signing of Mergim Sokoli

The Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the signing of Mergim Soloki, a 6’10’’ power forward who brings size, energy, and potential to the roster ahead of the upcoming season.
At just 22 years old, Soloki has already gained valuable experience as a training player with the London Lions in the Super League Basketball (SLB) last season. His time with the Lions allowed him to sharpen his skills against some of the best players in the country and develop a professional mindset that he now brings to Nottingham.
Soloki stated, “I’m excited to see what the Hoods can do this season and I’m happy to see the new facility that creates a real professional environment”
Head Coach, Vladan Dragosavac, welcomed the signing, saying:
“Mergim gives us something we’ve been missing – real size inside. At 6’10’’ he adds a new dimension to our squad, and we’re excited to see how he grows with us this year. He’s hungry to prove himself, and we think the fans will really get behind him.”
Soloki’s addition provides the Hoods with much-needed height and depth in the frontcourt, strengthening their presence on both ends of the floor. With his combination of size, mobility, and determination, he is expected to make an immediate impact for the team.
The Nottingham Hoods continue to build a roster ready to compete at the highest level, and Soloki’s signing is another strong step toward a successful campaign.
