The two finalists in the first ever BCB playoff final are confirmed after two pulsating semi-finals over the weekend.
The league's top two sides, Aldermore Reading Rockets and the Newcastle Knights will do battle for the prize of playoff glory and to put their name into British basketball folklore.
Newcastle edge past Birmingham in thriller.
The Newcastle Knights recovered from a sluggish start to defeat the City of Birmingham Rockets 101-95 in a game that went down to the wire on Tyneside.
Trailing by double figures in the first quarter, the Knights clawed their way back to take the lead but were made to work hard to maintain the lead in the final stretch when the Rockets fought back to snatch the win.
Zack Powell gave Birmingham a 94-93 lead with 1:10 remaining, which was answered instantly by Sam Trunley. Newcastle then managed to hold on to the lead and would ice the game from the foul line.
Bradley Dean would finish with 35 points, with Trunley adding 19 for the winners. Powell amassed 23 for the Rockets, as their season comes to a halt, but plenty to smile about, with a BCB Trophy nestling in their cabinet.
League champions Reading overcome the Breakers
The Aldermore Reading Rockets wasted no time in establishing a double-digit lead and maintain it as they beat the Milton Keynes Breakers 85-64 at Rivermead.
With their eyes set on a BCB double, the league champions wasted little time in prving their dominance by racing to a 21-8 lead after the first quarter, which set the tone for a comfortable win against the Breakers.
Victor Olarerin led the winners with 16 points, with Jax Bouknight chipping in with 15. Kai Williams had 15 for Milton Keynes, as their road ends at the last four.
