VICTOR OLARERIN LAUNCHES TO PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD

Reading Rockets guard Victor Olarerin has electrified crowds across the country throughout October.

His stellar play during the month, highlighted by a massive 51-point performance against the Essex Rebels last Saturday, has earned him the BCB Molten Player of the Month award for October.

Thanks to Olarerin’s individual brilliance, he has guided Reading to an unbeaten start in the Championship, where they have gone 3-0.

The Tottenham-born guard has posted incredible numbers this month, averaging 28 points, five rebounds and five assists in the Championship.

However, the month of October didn’t start positively for the Rockets, as they lost 90-79 in the BCB Trophy quarter-final tie against the Milton Keynes Breakers. Olarerin posted 23 points and six rebounds.

But he followed that with 22 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in the narrow 93-91 road win against the Hemel Storm before filling the statsheet in Reading’s 97-50 victory over Bristol Flyers II, going for 11 points, seven assists, three steals and a block.

He ended the month with a record-breaking 51 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks in a convincing 103-87 success over the Rebels.
