LANDMARK FIRST EVER BCB TROPHY FINAL HEADS TO NOTTINGHAM

The city of Nottingham will provide the backdrop for the first trophy ever to be decided in British Championship Basketball.

The 2026 BCB Trophy Final between the City of Birmingham Rockets and the Yorkshire Dragons will be staged at Harvey Hadden Sports Village on Saturday, March 28.

The Final will mark a significant first milestone in what has been a successful first season of the BCB since breaking away from the NBL Division 1 to form this exciting new league.

And either the Rockets or Dragons will make that first and history-making trophy lift in the East Midlands.

Birmingham reached the Final after beating the Milton Keynes Breakers 79-71 in the Semi-Final, while Yorkshire beat surprise package Falkirk Fury, one of the invited teams into the Trophy, 93-77 in their last-four match-up.

“It’s a great privilege to welcome the City of Birmingham Rockets and the Yorkshire Dragons to our venue for the BCB Trophy Final.” Nottingham Hoods managing director Russell Levenston said.

“The club has grown significantly over the past 12 months, marked by the opening of our new practice facility at Mapperley Sports Village and our home venue at Harvey Hadden. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase our new facilities.”
