About the Club

Founded in 2001 in Bingley, West Yorkshire, Yorkshire Dragons is now based in Halifax and proudly competing in the newly formed British Championship Basketball League. The club also fields teams in NBL Division 3 and the Leeds League, with junior squads playing nationally at U18, U16, and U14 levels. Our inclusive basketball community includes the Calderdale Wheelchair Basketball Club and a strong partnership with Calderdale College for our Academy teams. We continue to run U12 mixed sessions across the region and are planning the return of a women’s team.

Our mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential - on and off the court -by offering high-quality, inclusive basketball opportunities that foster personal growth and community pride.
