Yorkshire Dragons head coach Paul Cantwell has been named the Molten BCB Coach of the Month for November.
Since joining the Dragons in the off-season, Cantwell has steered the Yorkshire side to the BCB Trophy final and led them to a 7-1 record in the league this season. The sole loss came away at Worthing Thunder on October 18.
Since that loss, the Dragons have been on fire, and in November, Cantwell and his side went unbeaten in five games – and six in the league.
Under Cantwell’s leadership, the Dragons have won their games in November by an average of 13.8 points, and they have scored an average of 92.8 points per game, making the Dragons one of the most exciting teams in the BCB.
In November, the Dragons were victorious over the Hemel Storm 103-92. That was followed by a resounding 104-59 win over the Bristol Flyers II.
Yorkshire dazzled in their first two games during the month, but had to work hard for their 84-79 success over the Nottingham Hoods, where they trailed for large periods of the game, before a second-half masterclass tipped the game in their favour.
The Dragons were pushed even harder by the determined Bristol Hurricanes before leaving it late to win 75-73, and they rounded off the month with a 98-92 road win against the City of Birmingham Rockets.
