ROCKETS, DRAGONS END BCB TROPHY GROUP 3-0

The Reading Rockets and Yorkshire Dragons finished the BCB Trophy group phase unbeaten, joining the City of Birmingham Rockets on 3-0 records.

Reading Rockets finished flawless in the BCB Trophy after beating London Cavaliers 89-77 in a blistering contest at Loddon Valley.

After a closely-fought first half, where both teams were shooting over 50 percent from the floor, the Rockets raced out of the blocks with a 22-7 third quarter to take a 75-53 lead in what looked to be out of reach for the Cavaliers.

But AJ Roberts had other ideas, as he led a desperation charge for the visitors to make the Rockets sweat in the final two minutes before seeing themselves over the line.

Jax Bouknight led Reading with 22 points, as he went 4-for-10 from three-point land, with Roberts dropping 30 in defeat.

Yorkshire Dragons will head into the quarter-finals with incredible momentum after they beat Edinburgh Blaze 106-90 on the road.

A solid win in the end for the Dragons, who finish 3-0 in their group. However, they looked to be heading to a more comfortable success, up 25-10 after the first quarter, and leading by as many as 22 points at one point, they were then met by a barrage of offensive force from the Scottish League side.

Edinburgh took the game to Yorkshire, and it wasn't until the latter stages, when the hosts' stamina faded and the Dragons roared on. They led by as many as 18 in the fourth, and coasted home.

Corey Johnson saw Yorkshire home with 22 points, supported by Nick Lewis with 20 points and 6 asissts. Michael Langsen had a game-high 26 for Edinburgh.

Milton Keynes Breakers ran out 92-63 victors over the Bristol Hurricanes at Bletchley, as Jordan Spencer led five five MK players in double figures.

Spencer paced the Breakers with 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals in a virtuoso showing. Corey Samuels and Elvisi Dusha both led the Hurricanes with 16 points.

Nottingham Hoods and Derby Trailblazers will conclude the BCB Trophy group stages tomorrow night (Monday) at 8pm. Full standings and quarter-final pairings will be revealed on the BCB website and social media channels this week.
